 What Does "Museums on Us" Mean? 

"Museums on Us" is a benefit program offered by Bank of America (BoA). Simply put, if you hold an active Bank of America credit or debit card (including Bank of America, Merrill, or Bank of America Private Bank cards), you can receive free general admission to hundreds of museums and cultural institutions across the United States on the first full weekend of every month. 

This is not limited to big cities—museums in over 150 cities across the country participate in the program.  They include art museums, science centers, history museums, children’s museums, and more.

 
What are the program's workings? 

Here’s how you can take advantage of this benefit:

 • Have a BoA credit or debit card that is in use.

 • Visit a participating museum on the first full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of the month.

 • Get free general admission by showing your card and a picture ID at the entrance.

 • The benefit is available to one visitor per cardholder, per eligible weekend. 

Even though the program does not include ticketed events or special exhibitions, it still grants free access to the regular exhibits and galleries.  For example, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art announced its renewed participation in the program in 2025, ensuring that BoA cardholders can enjoy its art collections for free on eligible weekends.

What You Should Know Before You Go

This only applies to all admissions. The free admission only applies to regular admission. Ticketed performances, special exhibitions, and planetarium shows typically demand a separate fee. Non‑Transferable Benefit

The person whose name appears on the card is the only one who can use the free pass. It cannot be transferred to friends or family members unless they have their own eligible BoA card.
